Mission Statement

The mission of the Hackensack High School mathematics department is to provide
an educational experience in mathematics that helps all students realize their full potential
and helps prepare them to become productive members of an ever changing global
community. We believe that all students can be successful.

Goals

It is our hope, that through our efforts, all students should:

1. Learn to value mathematics.
2. Discover and appreciate mathematical ideas.
3. Increase their mathematical literacy and learn to communicate mathematically.
4. Become mathematical problem-solvers and thinkers. Apply mathematics to real-life situations.
