The Hackensack High School Performing Arts Department is a vehicle for students to use to develop a sense of aesthetic awareness. The vocal music and instrumental music courses are designed to help students develop their personalities by encouraging them to be creative, perform in front of an audience, study the elements and principles of music, understand the history and culture of other lands, and by accepting criticism through critique.
