Dear Parents:
Thank you for taking an active part in your child's education! We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves as your student's junior class advisors. The Junior Class fundraising events are about to begin. Our fundraising events this year are a great opportunity for your children to get involved in sales and contribute to their graduating expenses. As you already know, there are Senior Dues that each student is responsible for. Dues cover expenses for cap, gown and yearbooks. The collection of dues begins the first day of the student’s senior school year and subsequently increases as the school year progresses. For example, last years senior dues were as follows:
| Wednesday, November 15, 2006 - $110 Monday, January 15, 2007 - $135 (if not paid by above date) Thursday, March 15, 2007 - $150 (if not paid by above date) |
Senior dues are payable by cash of money order and are made out to Hackensack High School.
Please note that this is not necessarily what will happen during your child's Senior year (2008-2009), but you can use this information as projected guidelines.
In the event that your child does not feel comfortable selling, here is another option for Senior Dues. You may pay the entire dues ($110) in the beginning of your child’s senior year or installments using the stubs enclosed. Please make sure you use the stubs so that I know whose account I should deposit the money under. Also, in the event that you do not address the envelope to my attention, whoever opens the mail will forward it to me.
For our first fundraising opportunity of the 2007-2008 school year, we plan on having the students sell seasonal holiday items from The Giving Tree a catalogue company entitled Kastle Creations. We plan to distribute the catalogues to the students in early November and will have all goods purchased available for pick up before the winter holiday break.
I hope this helps give you some essential information and please do not hesitate to email us with any concerns, questions and suggestions.
Regards,
Ms. Teresa Jordan & Mr. Dave Gelber
